ANNOUNCEMENTS

ATTENTION STUDENTS: The library will be CLOSED after school TODAY. We will be open again after school on Thursday. Thank you! 

SCHEDULE CHANGES ARE OVER: Counselors will not be taking appointments to make any more schedule changes.

STUDENTS: Have you seen the new E-cart out serving breakfast in the morning? Well, keep an eye out for the cart which is now serving Supper after school near the T building. The cafeteria is also serving supper every day of the week, including Wednesdays!

THIS WEEK IN FFA:

1.     Congratulations to the Tokay Grapevine Pruning team for placing 1st at the Tokay contest. Nathan Blagg was 2nd and Abraham Lopez Chavez was 5th. Good luck at the contest at Reedley College

2.     FFA members be sure to attend our January FFA meeting tomorrow at 3:30 in the cafeteria

3.     We are still collecting items for our pet supply drive

4.     Applications for the World Ag Expo field trip closes on Friday

5.     If you would like to be a server at the FFA crab feed, please fill out the google form on the FFA classroom. 

M.E.CH.A CLUB, Leos club and Hispanic Honor Society is hosting the annual Pet food drive. Dog items will be donated to Hungry Tails and Cat items will be donated to Tom's bookstore he in Lodi. Drop items in E8, T-218 with Mr. Ivy, and if you are a teacher and would like to help us by hosting a box, please let us know. Thank you for your generosity. 

DO YOU NEED NEW, FREE, NEW WINTER GEAR? We might have it. Leos club, in collaboration with Stockton Healthy Leo-Lions club, is giving away winter gear. Request your needed items using the google link via the Leos Instagram. First come, first items are limited. 

DO YOU PLAN TO GO TO PROM? Well, then you’ll need to clear your unexcused absences or excessive tardies. Stop by Student Services on Monday to sign up or you can be a “walk-in”. Just be at the cafeteria by 8am. Remember, unexcused absences & tardies can prevent you from getting your off-campus cards, going to Prom, and other events. Get them cleared so you don’t miss out!

M.ECH.A CLUB, LEOS CLUB, & Hispanic Honor Society meets every Monday in E-8. A small snack will be provided. Everyone is welcome.

PICKLEBALL CLUB: Pickleball is back! ALL students and staff are welcome. Come check it out every TUESDAY at 3:30 in front of the NEW GYM.

ACRYLIC PAINT club meets every Tuesday in E8. Join us, no experience needed.

AVID CLUB meets Tuesday mornings in B7 from 7:30AM to 8:15AM with Ms. Kasik and Tuesday afternoons in B-3 with Mr. Little from 3:30-4:30PM. ALL AVID students are encouraged to attend to get community service hours. 

ANIME CLUB meets every Thursday after school in E-9.           

KEY CLUB meetings take place every Thursday, after school in HE-4!

ATTENTION SENIORS: If Delta College is in your plans for Fall 2026, don't miss upcoming presentations and workshops. Register on SchooLinks or stop by the Career Center to see Ms. Zoila. 

THE BSU CLUB (Black Student Union) will be meeting this Thursday, January 22nd, right after school at 3:30 PM in the Career Center, Conference Room C.

ALL STUDENTS interested in becoming a member of CSF applications will be available in student services OR SC-1.  They are DUE NO LATER than Friday, January 23rd.

MSA: The Muslim Student Association will be meeting next week, January 28th during both lunch periods in E-2. Inshallah, we see you there! 

TOKAY AGAINST CANCER is currently hosting a "Cozy Drive" for patients undergoing chemotherapy now through Friday, January 23. We are looking for new socks, beanies, gloves, blankets, scarves, and stuffed animals. Be on the lookout for donation boxes throughout campus. Thank you for your support!

THE CAREER CENTER will be hosting the following college and career presentations:

·         CodeStack – January 23, 2026 - 2nd period 

·         SJ Delta College Electrical Program – January 27, 2026 - 2nd period 

·         Why Delta? Presentation – January 30, 2026 - 2nd or 3rd period – seniors only

·         SJ Delta College CTE Trades Presentation – February 3, 2026 - 2nd period 

These sessions are a great opportunity to learn about career pathways, training programs, and college options. Sign up at the Career Center or through Schoolinks. Stop by the Career Center for more information!

THE FINAL DEADLINE to purchase a Yearbook January 31st. Yearbooks are $80 cash in Student Services or pay w/ a credit card on the Tokay webstore. Don’t miss out. We will only have a limited number of extras that will be first come, first served.

STUDENTS: Student Services will not be taking money today through Friday. If you need to pay for something, go to the Tokay High website and click on the webstore to see if you can pay online. Otherwise, we will see you Monday.

FIELD TRIP OPPORTUNITY: Steps to College: Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Cal Expo. Northern California's largest bilingual college fair. Meet college reps, explore majors. and learn about financial aid. Sign up with Ms. Zoila in the Career Center. 

TOKAY WILL BE offering a new AP class next year for 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students called AP Seminar! AP Seminar will teach you how to do academic research, prepare you for public speaking, and help you become better prepared for other AP or college classes. It counts for 10th grade English credit or A-G elective credit for 11th and 12th graders. See Mrs. Epperson in E-5 for more information.

MECHA, LEO, AND HISPANIC HONOR SOCIETY are holding a Pet Food Drive now through February 12th. Donation boxes can be found in classrooms and around campus. Questions? Stop by room E-8.
