Coaches Resources

•  A general coaching education course (NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching)
•  Current CPR/First Aid certification (must be American Red Cross or American Heart Association accredited
•  Heat Illness Prevention course (FREE)
•  Sports specific Concussion course (FREE)
•  Training in Sudden Cardiac Arrest (FREE)

In addition to the CIF requirements, Lodi Unified paid coaches must also fulfill the following:

• Temp Coach Request form turned in
• Fingerprinting through LUSD
• TB Test
• Coaching Packet
• One-time, each paid coach must have Keenan Safe Schools training in:
  • Child Abuse Prevention: Grooming Part I (High School)
  • Child Abuse Prevention: Introduction
• Annually, each paid coach must have Keenan Safe Schools training in:
  • Mandated Reporter: Child Abuse and Neglect
  • Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Prevention
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest in Athletes: Full Course (California)
  • Injury & Illness Prevention Plan
  • Integrated Pest Management
  • Heat Illness Prevention
  • Title IX & Gender Equality in Athletics
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention for Non-Managers
• Log into Keenan Safe Schools training using your Employee Identification Number (EIN). If you do not know your EIN, it is on your paystub from your stipend. If you can not find that paystub, email the Athletics Department.

In addition to the CIF requirements, Lodi Unified volunteer coaches must also fulfill the following:

•  Fingerprinting through LUSD
•  Must make appointment for fingerprinting
•  Must have volunteer fingerprint form turned in
