The College and Career Center is where students receive advice about college and careers, learn about college resources, get help with applications and essays, meet college representatives and explore information about scholarships and financial aid. The center also provides information on many careers and has resources to help students write resumes and prepare for job interviews.

The Department of Film Studies at The University of Tulsa offers residential screenwriting and filmmaking camps for high school students. They will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the art and craft of screenwriting and filmmaking for one exciting week each. The camps may be taken separately or together.

July 8-14, 2018 – Screenwriting Camp Application
The Screenwriting Camp with Professor Michael Wright provides an intensive exploration of the craft of screenwriting along with stimulating group activities and film screenings. Students will create their own short screenplays that will be read for family and friends in a script festival on the last day.

Would it be possible to post this on our website?  I checked the blue links and they both work.

July 14-21, 2018 – Filmmaking Camp Application
The Filmmaking Camp with videographer Erin McHenry provides students with the opportunity to fully plunge into every aspect of creating short films, along with evening screenings and exciting group activities. The camp will culminate in a film festival of the students’ work, screened for family and friends. Cameron Buckley (BA ’14) will serve as an additional instructor.

Days are spent in a workshop setting, with planned evening activities arranged for recreation and further exploration of film. Participants must stay on campus in a supervised residence hall during the camp; rooms are shared (males and females are housed on separate floors). Each camp has a full-time, qualified student assistant staying with the students in the residence.

NOTE: Deadline for both camps: June 26

Please pass along this opportunity to students who are considering a degree in filmmaking, screenwriting or creative writing.
